brillpic   Coach Brill has been teaching physical education at River City for the past 22 years.  He was head wrestling coach (1985 – 1988 at Foothill High) and (1989 – 1994 at River City ),  was sacramento wrestling coach of the year in 1987.  Coach Brill also was the Head Junior Varsity Football coach from (1985- 1988 st Foothill High) and (1989- 1993 at River City High) where he compiled 31 wins and 8 loss record for the Raiders.  Coach Brill has also coached at the college level as an assistant in baseball and football at College of the Redwoods Junior college, San Diego City College, and Sacramento State University before comitting himself in High School coaching and teaching.

Coach Brill has college football experiece having played for Humbolt State University where he was the starting Linebacker for two years and defensive captain his last year 1984. He also played baseball for Humbolt State University where he was the starting catcher both years and was the teams MVP his last year before being drafted in the 4th round by the Atlanta Braves.  Coach Brill played 4 years for the Braves before being released because of arm injury.  Coach Brill also had the HSU Dean and coaches permission to also participate on the track team during baseball season as a javelin thrower during meet days making him a three sport college participant.

In Senior High School coach Brill was a three sport participant having played Baseball, Football and Wrestling all three years.  He recieved honors in all three sports and was a state qualifier in wrestling in 1978.

Coach Brill has four children, three boys and on girl, the youngest being the girl.  Coach explains that the reason he got out of High School after school coaching was to spend time with his children.  His oldest son Clinton recently sighned a letter of intent with Stanislas University to play baseball and study business.  His next oldest is presenly attending American River College where he is also playing baseball and working on his general ed classes.
